Samuel Frederick Gray
Samuel Frederick Gray (born December 10, 1766 in London , † April 2, 1828 in Chelsea (London) ) was a British botanist , zoologist and pharmacologist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Gray ".
Gray worked as a pharmacologist in Walsall from 1797 to 1800 . He later moved to London to teach botany . Among other things, he wrote extensive works on mussels and medicines .
He was the father of two great natural scientists : John Edward Gray (1800–1875) and George Robert Gray (1808–1872).
