Narrabri is a city in the Australian state of New South Wales with 5,903 inhabitants (as of 2011). It is located on the Namoi River .
In 2001 it was also named “Australia's sportiest city”. The place is known for the CSIRO Australian Telescope , one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world.
Narrabri is the capital of the Australian administrative region of Narrabri Shire .
