The Hunnebecke is a left tributary of the Krummen Baches in the northwest of the Westphalian city of Münster .
course
The Hunnebecke rises south of the Vorbergshügel near Nienberge and then flows in a southerly direction west past Nienberge. Then the Hunnebecke crosses under the federal highway 54 and changes the direction of flow to the southwest. In the farming community of Schonebeck, it flows into the Krummen Bach on the border with the municipality of Havixbeck , shortly before it drains into the Münstersche Aa .
The water overcomes a height difference of 32 meters during its flow path; this results in an average bed slope of 6.7 ‰.
Others
On the Hunnebecke, an expansion area of the Münster district of Nienberge has emerged in recent years, into which the stream has been integrated in a renatured form. The origin of the name "Hunnebecke" is unclear. For the year 1826 the list of the Nienberg farms on the then so-called “Waltruper Feld” in Nienberge shows the farms “Hunnebecks Colonat” and the associated “Hunnekotten”.
