Narsingdi ( Bengali নরসিংদী) is a city in Bangladesh that is part of the Dhaka Division . The district capital, located in the Narsingdi district, is 48 kilometers northeast of the state capital Dhaka. The city is part of the Upazila Narsingdi Sadar with 707,525 inhabitants. The population of Narsingdi in 2011 was over 146,000.
