The Nasia is fed by four smaller rivers, each about 30–40 km long, arranged in a star shape. After their union, the Nasia flows in a westerly direction towards the White Volta . With this and the other tributaries of the White Volta, it flows into the northwestern extension of Lake Volta near the city of Yapei .
