The Nassauische Landesbank in Hadamar , a town in the Limburg-Weilburg district in Hesse , is a former branch of the Nassauische Landesbank . The building at Alte Chaussee 4 is a protected architectural monument .

History and description

The building was built in 1911 as a branch of the Herzoglich Nassauische Landesbank , founded in 1840 . It has a heavily terraced substructure and is located at the northern end of a residential area. The building combines elements of neo- baroque and classicism . The design is factually and in detail influenced by Art Nouveau . The main decoration is the columned portal with an explosive gable , which is decorated with the coat of arms of the Duchy of Nassau and fruits.
