The Nata is a river in southern Africa , in Zimbabwe and Botswana.

It rises in Zimbabwe in the Matabeleland South province halfway between Bulawayo and Plumtree and flows in a westerly direction through semi-arid area to Botswana . It forms the border between the provinces of Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South. After crossing the border with Botswana, it swings to the southwest and evaporates in the Makgadikgadi salt pans after a total of 330 kilometers .
