Natanael Mountain
Carl Natanael Berg (born February 9, 1879 in Stockholm ; † October 14, 1957 there ) was a Swedish composer.
Berg studied veterinary medicine and initially trained himself musically as an autodidact. He then studied singing with Julius Günther and composition with Johan Lindegren at the Stockholm Conservatory . Until 1939 he worked as a veterinarian in the Swedish Army, after which he was a freelance composer. From 1918 to 1924 he was President of the Swedish Composers Association.
He composed five operas and three ballets , six symphonies and several symphonic poems, a piano and a violin concerto, a serenade for violin and orchestra, a piano quintet, ballads , songs and piano pieces in the late romantic style.
