Nathalie Kollo (* 17th July 1967 in Locarno as Nathalie Kollodzieyski ) is a German - Danish singer , presenter and children's author .

Life

Nathalie Kollo is the daughter of pop singer Dorthe Kollo and the hero tenor and chamber singer René Kollo . She grew up in Denmark and Germany . She received her training as a musical actress and singer at the Theater School Copenhagen and the Musical School Hamburg . In addition, she took vocal studies with Vicky Hall (Berlin) and Erika Zimmermann (Munich).

Since then Nathalie Kollo has been a freelance singer. In 1989 she started her first band, with which she performed in Denmark. In German-speaking countries she was then u. a. on tour with the Kai Rautenberg trio and Horst Jankowski . She is also on stage at big band concerts with jazz and swing music. In 1995 she received her first live show Quincert on Danish television . In the same year she went on a gospel tour with Oh Happy Day . Then Nathalie Kollo was in Los Angeles from 1996 to 1998 , where, in addition to some concerts, she mainly wrote texts and compositions. Back in Germany, she took on the leading female role at the Störtebeker Festival in the summer of 1998 .

In 1999, her pregnancy inspired Nathalie Kollo to produce the children's book Piet der Spinnerich and the children's song CD of the same name.

With her father René Kollo , she is occasionally on stage at concerts and shows. a. 2004 in the Spring Festival of Folk Music (ARD).

On June 28, 2019 Nathalie Kollo released her first German-language song in the genre Schlagersoul with the title Sag nie nie . He combines elements from German hits with tropical house and electronic pop elements. The song was written by composer Steven Richmann and produced in the “audiofactory” sound studio on Mallorca. The title was published on the music label "Schlagersound" distributed by digdis Music Mail Tonträger GmbH, Stuttgart.

Kollo ran a fast-food restaurant in Port d'Andratx , which she was using on August 8, 2019 in the program Rosins Restaurants - A star chef is cleaning up! was seen. In October 2019, she gave up the business.

Kollo has a son who was born in February 1999.

Awards

Nathalie Kollo was named Singer of the Year in Denmark in 1995 . She also received the Danish Music Union Award from the Simon Spies Foundation.
