Kai Rautenberg

Kai Rautenberg (born November 5, 1939 in Arnsberg ; † May 29, 2013 in Berlin ) was a German pianist and composer .

Life

Rautenberg received his musical training at the Conservatory in Dortmund and at the Hilchenbach Orchestra School . Between 1959 and 1966 he made numerous tours abroad. He worked as an accompanying pianist and chanson composer with, among others, Hildegard Knef , Inge Brück , Angelika Milster , Brigitte Mira , Reinhard Mey , Inga and Wolf , Wolfgang Gruner , Adam Taubitz and Dieter Hallervorden .

From 1969 to 1971 he was a pianist in the SFB dance orchestra under the direction of Paul Kuhn , in 1971 he switched to the RIAS dance orchestra . Most recently he also appeared with the "Kai Rautenberg Sextett" and the RIAS Big Band . He wrote some film scores , and occasionally worked as an actor.
