Nathanael "Newt" Rogers (born March 25, 1987 in San Diego ) is an American biathlete .

Newt Rogers of the Maine Winter Sports Club lives in New Bethlehem and studied structural engineering at Lehigh University . He made his international debut as part of the Junior World Championships in 2005 in Kontiolahti , where he finished 67th in the individual, 63rd in the sprint and with Russell Currier and Mark Johnson 17th in the relay race. The following year the Junior World Championships took place in Presque Isle in Roger's home country. With the ranks 38 in the individual, 40 in the sprint and 45 in the pursuit, as well as with eleventh place in the relay, he was able to achieve his best results at the Junior World Championships. A year later in Martell the results 77 in the individual, 55 in the sprint and 58 in the pursuit were added. He was also 16 with the season.

Since the 2008/09 season , Rogers also competes in the Biathlon NorAm Cup . In his first season he was able to achieve a podium for the first time in Presque Isle with third place behind Jesse Downs and Bill Bowler . In the overall ranking of the racing series, he reached 13th place. The following season he was 27th overall. At the North American Championships in Biathlon 2010 in Fort Kent , Rogers was eighth in the pursuit and tenth in the mass start race.
