The NPF formed an alliance of Action National Settlement , South West African National Union (SWANU) and Caprivi African National Union . As part of the Democratic Coalition of Namibia (DCN), Katjiuongua was a member of the Constituent Assembly of Namibia , then represented in the National Assembly as a representative of the NPF and later as part of the SWANU until 1999 .
From 1999 to 2019 the party was inactive. She was then resuscitated at the Namibian Electoral Commission under the leadership of Uapiruka Papama . She has since become primarily a representation of former veterans of Namvet , SWATF and Koevoet from the Namibian liberation struggle , against the current ruling party, SWAPO fought.
