National Reform Council

The National Reform Council (NRC, to German about National Reformierungsrat ) was after a coup d'état on 24 March 1967 to 18 April 1968, the de facto -Regierung of Sierra Leone . It was under the command of the military .

Happenings

After Siaka Probyn Stevens was ousted as Prime Minister by the military on March 21, 1967, David Lansana took power as the leader of the military junta for three days. He was in turn overthrown by Ambrose Patrick Genda of the NRC, an equally important military. Genda was only able to hold out for three days and had to hand over power to Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Terence Juxon-Smith .

The NRC was replaced in April 1968 by the National Interim Council of the Anti-corruption Revolutionary Movement under the leadership of the soldier Patrick Conteh .
