It has 510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), belongs to the arrondissement of Castelsarrasin and is part of the canton of Moissac (until 2015 Moissac-2 ). The inhabitants are called Lizacais .

Lizac lies on the Tarn , which borders the municipality in the south. Lizac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lafrançaise in the north and east, Meauzac in the east, Labastide-du-Temple in the south-east, Les Barthes in the south and south-west and Moissac in the west and north-west.
