Malause is a commune in southwest France in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It has 1,158 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), belongs to the Arrondissement of Castelsarrasin and is part of the canton of Garonne-Lomagne-Brulhois ( Moissac-1 until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Malausains .
geography
Malause lies on the Garonne , from which the Canal latéral à la Garonne (or Canal de Golfech ) starts. Malause is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Vincent-Lespinasse in the north, Boudou in the east, Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave in the south-east, Merles in the south, Valence-d'Agen and Pommevic in the west and Goudourville in the north-west.
Via Podiensis , a variant of the Way of St. James , leads through the village .
