Durfort-Lacapelette ( Occitan : Durfòrt e la Capeleta ) is a French commune with 847 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Castelsarrasin and in the canton of Pays de Serres Sud-Quercy (until 2015: canton of Lauzerte ). The inhabitants are called Durfortais .

Geographical location

Durfort-Lacapelette is about 32 kilometers north-northeast of Montauban . The Barguelonne limits the municipality to the north. Durfort-Lacapelette is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Amans-de-Pellagal in the north, Cazes-Mondenard in the east and north-east, Lafrançaise in the south-east, Moissac in the south, Montesquieu in the west and Montbarla in the north-west.
