David Lowery (Director)
David Lowery (born December 26, 1980 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American film actor , director , screenwriter , producer , cameraman and film editor .
Life
Born in Milwaukee in 1980 , David Lowery is the oldest of nine children. When Lowery was seven years old, his family moved to Irving , where his father had found a job as a theology lecturer at a university in nearby Dallas.
Lowery married Augustine Frizzell on October 10, 2010.
Film career
After Lowery graduated from Irving High School, he made his first film Lullaby . Lowery's first feature film, which he directed completely independently, was St. Nick , which he presented at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2009 and was released in US theaters in 2011. For his film The Saints , which came out in theaters in 2013, Lowery won several awards at various film festivals. For the film Elliot the Dragon , which Lowery directed and also co-wrote the script and released in theaters in 2016, Disney provided him with a budget of $ 65 million. The film received mostly good reviews.
