Donzac is a French commune in the department of Tarn-et-Garonne in the region Occitania (before 2016: Midi-Pyrenees ). The municipality with 1,045 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) is located in the arrondissement of Castelsarrasin and is part of the canton of Garonne-Lomagne-Brulhois (until 2015: canton of Auvillar ). The inhabitants are called Donzacais .
geography
Donzac is located about 44 kilometers west-southwest of Montauban on the Garonne , which borders the municipality in the north. Donzac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lamagistère in the north, Golfech in the east, Saint-Loup in the east and south-east, Saint-Cirice in the south and south-east, Sistels in the south and south-west, Dunes in the west and south-west and Saint-Sixte in the west and north-west.
