Castelferrus is a French commune with 473 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Castelsarrasin and the canton of Beaumont-de-Lomagne (until 2015: canton of Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave ). The inhabitants are called Castelferrusiens .

geography

Castelferrus is located about 23 kilometers west-southwest of Montauban and about four kilometers south-southwest of Castelsarrasin . Here the Gimone flows into the Garonne . Castelferrus is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Aignan in the north and north-west, Castelsarrasin in the north and east, Cordes-Tolosannes in the south-east, Garganvillar in the south and south-west and Castelmayran in the west and north-west.
