Saint-Sixte ( Occitan : Sant Sixt ) is a French municipality with 358 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Agen and the canton of Le Sud-Est Agenais (until 2015: canton of Astaffort ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Sixtois .

geography

Saint-Sixte is 15 kilometers east-southeast of Agen . The Garonne limits the municipality in the north, into which the Auroue , which forms the western municipal boundary, flows here. Saint-Sixte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Romain-le-Noble in the north, Clermont-Soubiran in the northeast, Lamagistère in the east and northeast, Donzac in the east and southeast, Dunes in the south, Caudecoste in the southwest and Saint-Nicolas-de- la-Balerme to the west.
