Castella ( Occitan : Lo Castelar ) is a municipality with 367 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in France in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). Castella belongs to the Arrondissement Agen and the canton Le Pays de Serres (until 2015: Canton Laroque-Timbaut ). The inhabitants are called chatelains .

Castella is about 14 kilometers north-northeast of Agen . Castella is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Colombe-de-Villeneuve in the north and north-west, Saint-Antoine-de-Ficalba in the north-east, Monbalen in the east, La Croix-Blanche in the south, Foulayronnes in the south-west, Laugnac in the west and south-west and Sembas in the west and northwest.
