Lac de Flottis and Talive, a lake in the center of the municipality, are located in Foulayronnes. The municipality is surrounded by La Croix-Blanche in the north, Pont-du-Casse in the east, Agen in the south, Colayrac-Saint-Cirq in the south-west, Madaillan in the west and Laugnac in the north-west.
Route nationale 1021 runs through the municipality .

The community emerged after the French Revolution in 1795. The name of the community is borrowed from the Latin Fons Latronum (Latin fons - fountain).
