Cuq ( Occitan : Cuc ) is a French municipality with 268 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Agen and the canton of Le Sud-Est Agenais (until 2015: canton of Astaffort ). The inhabitants are called Cuquois .
geography
Cuq is about twelve kilometers south-southeast of Agen . Cuq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fals in the north and north-west, Caudecoste in the north, Dunes in the east, Gimbrède in the south and Astaffort in the west and south-west.
