Bazens is a French municipality with 546 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Agen and the canton of Le Confluent (until 2015: canton of Port-Sainte-Marie ).

Bazens is located about 17 kilometers west-northwest of Agen on the Garonne . Bazens is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Galapian in the north and north-west, Saint-Salvy in the north and north-east, Frégimont in the east and north-east, Clermont-Dessous in the south and east, Saint-Laurent in the south and south-west and Port-Sainte-Marie in the west.

The former route nationale 113 (today's D813) runs through the municipality .
