Montpezat (also: Montpezat-d'Agenais ; Occitan : Montpesat ) is a French municipality with 559 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Montpezat is located in the Agen arrondissement and belongs to the canton of Le Confluent (until 2015: canton of Prayssas ). The inhabitants are called Montpezatais .
geography
Montpezat is about 20 kilometers north-northwest of Agen . Montpezat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Temple-sur-Lot in the north, Dolmayrac in the east, Cours in the east and south-east, Prayssas in the south and south-west, Lacépède in the south-west, Saint-Sardos in the west and Granges-sur-Lot in the north-west.
