Sauvagnas ( Occitan : Sauvanhàs ) is a French municipality with 527 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Agen and the canton of Le Sud-Est Agenais (until 2015: Canton Laroque-Timbaut ).

geography

Sauvagnas is located about ten kilometers northeast of Agen in the Pays de Serres . Sauvagnas is surrounded by the neighboring communities Laroque-Timbaut in the north, Saint-Robert in the east, Saint-Caprais-de-Lerm in the south, Bon-Encontre and Pont-du-Casse in the southwest and Bajamont in the west.
