Fals ( Occitan : Halhs ) is a French municipality with 378 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Agen and the canton of Le Sud-Est Agenais (until 2015: canton of Astaffort ). The inhabitants are called Falois .

geography

Fals is about twelve kilometers south-southwest of Agen . The river Gers limits the municipality to the west. Fals is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Layrac in the north and west, Caudecoste in the east and northeast, Cuq in the east and southeast and Astaffort in the south.
