Brax is a French commune with 2,070 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Agen and the canton of L'Ouest Agenais (until 2015: canton of Laplume ). The inhabitants are called Braxois .

geography

Brax is about four kilometers west of Agen in the Bruilhois on the southern bank of the Garonne . The Canal du Midi runs through the municipality . Brax is surrounded by the neighboring communities Colayrac-Saint-Cirq in the north, Le Passage in the east, Roquefort in the south and Sainte-Colombe-en-Bruilhois in the west and south-west.
