Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac ( Occitan Sant Peire de Clairac ) is a French municipality with 865 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac is located in the Arrondissement of Agen and belongs to the canton of Le Sud-Est Agenais (until 2015: Canton of Puymirol ).

Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac is located about eleven kilometers east-southeast of Agen on the Séoune . Saint-Pierre-de-Clairac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Caprais-de-Lerm in the north, Puymirol in the east, Saint-Romain-le-Noble in the southeast, Saint-Jean-de-Thurac in the south, and Lafox in the west Southwest and Castelculier to the west and northwest.

history

On June 7, 1944, eleven alleged resistance fighters were murdered here by soldiers from SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment 4 ("Der Führer").
