The National Academy of Arts of Ukraine ( Ukrainian Національна академія мистецтв України ) is an art academy in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev . It is not to be confused with the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture . The Academy is headed by Andrij Tschebykin ( Андрій Володимирович Чебикін ), Vice President is Viktor Dmitrovich Sidorenko .

history

The National Academy of Arts of Ukraine was established on December 14, 1996 under Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 1209-1296. On February 18, 2010, the Academy was given the status of “National Academy” by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 191/2010.

location

The headquarters of the academy is located in the Kiev town of Shevchenko in a building built in 1898 and a listed building since 2010 on Bulwarno-Kudrjawska Street ( Бульварно-Кудрявська вулиця ) No. 20.
