National League A 2013/14

The National League A 2014/15 ( French League Nationale A ) was the 81st season of the top Swiss division in men's basketball. Eight teams took part in the championship.

The Lions de Gèneve became Swiss champion and thus secured their second title after 2013. They prevailed in the playo final against Union Neuchâtel Basket in six games.

In the preliminary round, the eight teams each met three times. First, a return game was played in 14 games. Then one more game was played, with home rights being determined by table placement. The best six teams qualified for a winning round, in which they each come to the four playoffs in a round trip, while they were able to take half of the points from the preliminary round. The playoff semi - final was played in a best-of-five series, the final was decided in a best-of-seven .

The seventh and eighth place teams compete in a promotion / relegation round against four clubs from the NLB to fight for the four places in the NLA that are available in the increased NLA next season.

Despite the athletic promotion to the NLA, BC Alte Kanti Aarau (as in 2012) and Swiss Central Basket hesitated with the decision to move up to the highest league. As BC Alte Kanti Aarau finally renounced as in 2012, BC Winterthur was instead allowed to advance to the National League A as another team from the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
