Aggerbogen Nature School

The Aggerbogen Nature School is an environmental education institution of the city of Lohmar in the Aggerbogen landscape garden in the Wahlscheid district .

location

The building of the nature school Aggerbogen is located directly on the Agger at the nationally known Aggerbogen. From the Wahlscheid-Aueler Hof bus stop, the nature school can be easily reached on foot in around 5 to 10 minutes. The path of the underpass under the federal road 484 (B 484) can be chosen. Children in particular are advised not to use the B 484 due to the fast through traffic.

The Aggerbogen nature school has been instructing people on environmental issues since around 1992.

The conveyance of environmental knowledge, of knowledge about flora and fauna , but also the answering and advice on everyday questions from the topic environment and nature for adults and for children are part of the function. Children in particular should be introduced to nature, whether with games or exciting self-carried out examinations. Water quality regulations, animal observation, hikes on foot or by boat, the construction of nesting aids and much more are made possible

Action-4-All

Action-4-All is a project of the Aggerbogen Nature School in collaboration with local partners, which was developed in 2005. From approx. March to October, near-natural outdoor activities for families are offered, which show that experiencing nature, nature conservation and recreational enjoyment do not have to be opposites.

Regional 2010

The Regionale 2010 is intended to provide information about nature, the environment and mobility with projects. In the course of this, the city of Lohmar and the Aggerbogen nature school started an inter-municipal project called KennenLernenUmwelt with three neighboring communities.

Get to know the environment

In the course of Regionale 2010, the cities of Lohmar, Troisdorf , Overath and Rösrath started the joint project KennenLernenUmwelt, which aims to bring nature closer to children and young people in particular. Each city provides a project for shared use.
