The area extends from north to south by one kilometer and from west to east about 450 meters. The difference in altitude is around 450 meters , the highest point at 1861 meters is at the Kämikopf, the lowest at 1390 meters. A neighboring place in the east is Mittenwald .

Soil conditions and geology

The stone pine forest with alpine rose and pine stands on carbonate-rich humus soil covers eight hectares at an altitude of 1600 to 1800 meters. The remaining area consists of rocks and rubble corridors with changing vegetation. In addition to the dominant spruce, which is over 30 meters high, there are also silver fir and sycamore maple .
