His musical career began in 1976 when Gary Nagy picked up a guitar for the first time and started playing. During his school days , he realized himself for the first time in his own band called Black Widow. They played their first small gigs in the area. But Gary Nagy soon separated from Black Widow and played in several other bands. Besides his work, he never neglected music. In 1984 he set up his first recording studio . The technique was less professional at first. This is how Gary Nagy gained his first experience. In the following years he made private and part-time sound recordings for his own band Insania and other musicians. He then composed and produced 4 of the 6 albums in his own band. As a private musician , studio musician and employee in various studios , he acquired the skills and abilities that a producer needs. In 1995 he expanded his private recording studio into a professional company.
In 1998 he dared to start his own record company STF Records and has since worked in his own commercial recording studio . The company group STF Records consists of the label STF-Records, the label Native-Records, the Satura-Musikverlag, STF-Media, the Gerna-Tonstudio and the service company and distributor M-System. He has specialized in the genres of rock , metal , hardcore and emo . But he also produced / produces music from other genres such as dance , pop , electro and punk .
His services as a music producer include complete productions of demos and CDs with digital and analog equipment, high-end mastering , vocal coaching , complete production of audio books and radio plays , as well as studio courses. The studio workshops are for beginners and advanced and include recording in general, as well as recordings for drums , guitar etc. These music, musicians and studio workshops take place in youth centers , but also in his own studio .
Until 2008 the company headquarters was in Bochum, from 2008 to 2019 the company headquarters was in Thuringia. The company has been based in Kamen since 2019.
