Naushahro Feroze District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Sindh Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Naushahro Feroze .
The district has an area of 2945 km² and according to the 2017 census 1,612,373 inhabitants. The population density is 547 inhabitants / km². The Sindhi language is spoken by the majority in the district .
location
The district is located in the north of Sindh Province, which is located in southeastern Pakistan. The Indus flows through the district in some places to the east.

Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017, the population grew by 2.09% annually. Around 24% of the population live in urban regions and around 76% in rural regions. 832,569 men, 779,747 women and 57 transgender people live in 275,693 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 107.1 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus for Pakistan.
The literacy rate in the years 2014/15 among the population over 10 years of age was 68% (women: 55%, men: 79%) and thus above the average for the province of Sindh of 60%.
