Neal Carter

Neal Carter (born August 30, 1923 in Wapakoneta , Ohio ) is a retired American racing car driver .

Career

Carter began his career in motorcycle and midget car racing. In 1949, 1950 and 1951 he won the Motor City Speedway Midget Championship three times in a row . Between 1949 and 1953 he competed in 24 races in the AAA National Series . His best results were two second places, which he achieved in Langhorne in 1949 and in Springfield in 1950 .

For the 500-mile race in Indianapolis he could not qualify in 1952 and 1953 .

After his career, he took care of improving safety on racetracks.
