Nebela collaris is a shell amoeba from the genus Nebela . It is also known in German as a neck ring shell amoeba. The species is common and occurs in moss lawns, especially peat mosses .
features
Nebela collaris is 95 to 180 micrometers in size. The species is yellowish and strongly compressed. Its surface is covered with remnants of diatoms and scales. Any gravel flakes that may be present come from eaten Euglypha species.
