The Nebraska Peaks are a group of scattered mountain peaks and nunatakkers in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the eastern part of the Britannia Range of the Transantarctic Mountains these lie east of the Gaussiran and Merrick glaciers .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2000 after the University of Nebraska-Lincoln , location of the management of the Ross Ice Shelf Project in the United States Antarctic Research Program from 1972 to 1977.
