with Green Bay [isthmus] Beach

The Neck of Land ('isthmus', also Neck-o-Land ) is a small peninsula on the Caribbean island of Antigua , in the state of Antigua and Barbuda . It forms the easternmost point of the main island.

The Neck of Land stretches off the remote southeastern peninsula of Antigua into Green Bay , the relatively protected strait to Green Island , the island's most eastern side island. Because Grean Bay is the - relatively dangerous - passage into Nonsuch Bay , the Neck of Land is an important navigation mark.

It protrudes about 400 meters into the Atlantic and is only connected to the mainland by a few meters wide sandy beach. It separates Little Deep Bay in the south from Devils Hole , a side bay of Green Bay, in the north. The peninsula is only around 100 meters wide, not very high, and consists of tropical bush forest.

The beach that stretches on both sides of the peninsula and to it, called Green Bay Isthmus Beach , is a rarely visited beach without any infrastructure - Mill Reef is a rather secluded, posh residential area, but the beach is freely accessible. The peninsula itself is also lined with a narrow beach.
