The Neckarfront is one of the most famous places and a tourist attraction in Tübingen . The ensemble of multi-storey, gable-free residential buildings on the Neckar stretches from the Eberhardsbrücke upstream to the characteristic Hölderlin tower with the pier for the punt . With this, the southern side, the houses sit on the partially existing city wall . The tower of the collegiate church that towers above the Neckar front forms part of the overall picture . The buildings on Neckargasse and Bursagasse are on the side facing away from the river . The Zimmer Theater Tübingen is located in Bursagasse 16 .

Further upriver, the actual Neckar front is followed by the Alte Burse and the Evangelical Abbey and a closed row of houses along the Neckarhalde . It is dominated by Hohentübingen Castle .

A footpath leads between the Eberhardsbrücke and the Hölderlinturm along the Neckar front, the end of the Neckar is formed by a mighty wall, the crown of which is a popular meeting place for students in summer.

The Eberhardsbrücke and the plane tree avenue directly opposite on the Neckarinsel offer the best view of the Neckar front .
