The Neckargartacher Acher Neckarbrücke that the place Neckargartach with the city of Heilbronn association was at its inauguration in 1905, the largest of the then 119 Wuerttemberg Neckar bridge. The structure was destroyed in 1945 and replaced by a new building in 1951.

Up until the beginning of the 20th century there was only one ferry across the Neckar near Neckargartach. In 1901, the Kingdom of Württemberg, as the client, ordered the construction of a Neckar bridge. Friedrich von Schaal created the structural design , the architectural design was created by Prof. Theodor Fischer (Stuttgart), and the construction work was the responsibility of C. Baresel. Construction began on August 10, 1903.

The total cost was 573,000 marks . The state paid two thirds of this (371,300 marks), the official body Heilbronn 80,000 marks, the city of Heilbronn 58,000 marks, the municipality Neckargartach 55,000 marks, the salt works 38,000 marks and other industrial companies together 25,000 marks. The city of Heilbronn also financed the construction of the road leading to the Neckar Bridge with a financial contribution of 50,000 marks.

The bridge was opened to traffic on July 29, 1905 and inaugurated on September 21, 1905. At the inauguration, Oberbaurat Schaal was made an honorary citizen of Neckargartach.

The bridge was destroyed in 1945. In 1951 a new building for road traffic was completed.

The Neckargartacher bridge was 230 m long and 11 m wide, making it the largest of its kind in Württemberg. It was an arch bridge with five arches that had a span of 40 m.
