Neda Amin (born December 10, 1984 ) is an Iranian journalist and blogger .

Life

Due to a book about women's rights and her work for the online edition Time of Israel, she had to flee Iran in 2014 and was initially accepted as a refugee in Turkey . The Iranian journalist, who also wrote for the Persian edition of the Times of Israel , was supposed to be deported from Turkey to Iran. For this she was on trial in Turkey. She was accused of spying for Israel.

Following activities by the publisher of the Times of Israel, Achia Ginossar , chairman of the Jerusalem Journalists' Union , wrote a letter directly to the Minister of the Interior of Israel, Arje Deri . He made an acceptance letter. Leaving Turkey turned out to be difficult.

On August 10, 2017, Neda Amin was able to travel to Israel, where she was granted asylum. According to her own statement, she is said to have Jewish ancestors, and her father's mother is said to have been Jewish.
