Eric Wambach (born May 27, 1985 ) is a Luxembourg ice hockey player who has been playing for the IHC Beaufort since 2011 . Since 2016 he takes with the team at the Belgian National League Division I in part.

Career

Eric Wambach began his career at Rapids Remich , for which he made his debut in the Luxembourg league at the age of 16 . From 2002 to 2006 he was active at Hiversport Luxembourg . He then played until 2008 with the record champions Tornado Luxembourg , for whom he was on the ice in the French division 3 , the country's third-highest division. He has been under contract with the IHC Beaufort since 2011 . There he first played in the Rhineland-Palatinate League , a regional division of the fifth German league level. Since 2016 he has been playing with the team in the Belgian National League Division I , the country's second-highest division.

International

In the junior division, Wambach played for Luxembourg at the U18 World Cup in 2000 in European Division 2 and in 2001 in the qualification for Division III of the U20 World Cup and in Division III itself at the U20 World Cup in 2003 .

With the men's national team Wambach first took part in the 2004 World Cup in Division II. After relegation suffered there, he played in Division III in 2006 , 2008 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 and 2017 , when the Luxembourgers managed to return to Division II.
