Neil Bibby

Neil Bibby (born September 6, 1983 in Paisley ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labor Party and the Co-operative Party .

Life

Bibby attended Kilbarchan Primary School and Gryffe High School . He then studied social sciences at the University of Glasgow and graduated with a master's degree .

Political career

Bibby joined the Labor Party at the age of 17. Before he was elected to the Scottish Parliament , Bibby was already chairman of the Labor Party's youth organization and chairman of the Labor Student Union. In 2007 he was elected to the Renfrewshire Regional Council. In the Scottish Parliamentary Elections 2011 Bibby ran for the first time in national elections. However, he did not apply for the direct mandate of a constituency, but was set on the Labor Party's regional electoral list for the electoral region of West Scotland . As a result of the election result, he received one of the Labor Party's three list mandates for West Scotland and moved into the Scottish Parliament for the first time .
