Neil Cicierega (born August 23, 1986 in Plymouth , Massachusetts ) is an American comedian , film producer and musician . He is considered the founder of Animutation , a type of flash animation . According to iStardom, Cicierega is the 98th most famous Internet comedian.

Potter Puppet Pals

Potter Puppet Pals is a currently 13-part (as of May 19, 2010) parody of Harry Potter , in which the characters from the film and the novels are represented using hand puppets (except Neville Longbottom). The first episodes were originally shown animated on Newgrounds , finally Cicierega decided to represent Potter Puppet Pals using real hand puppets and to publish the videos on YouTube . The Wizard Swears episode was also uploaded to iTunes, but deleted a short time later.

The Mysterious Ticking Noise is one of the most viewed videos on YouTube with over 160 million clicks (as of July 2015). With this song Potter Puppet Pals won the 2008 YouTube Awards in the Comedy category. In the video, Snape hears a mysterious ticking and sings a song to the rhythm, with Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione and Harry joining in over time. Towards the end, Ron finds a pipe bomb that explodes. Then Voldemort shows up and sings a version of Lollipop by The Chordettes .

Between 1999 and 2002 Cicierega also produced music under the pseudonyms Trapezoid and Deporitaz . Even today he produces albums and goes live on stage, but under the name Lemon Demon . So far he has produced seven albums, four of which have been published on his homepage. His 2008 album View-Monster is his first album to be offered on iTunes.

The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny

Together with animator Shawn Vulliez, he produced the Flash video The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny in 2005 and published it on Newgrounds, where the video has already been viewed eleven million times.

Short films

In addition to the Potter Puppet Pals, he co-produced with short film makers Kevin James, Ryan Murphy, Max Pacheco and J. L. Carrozza. He and Kevin James were hired by Plymouth Rock Studios to produce a series. This is how the comedy short film series New Kids On The Rock came about . Several short films by Cicierega have been featured in several well-known American internet talk shows such as Attack of the Show! (G4), Online Nation ( The CW ) and Chute! (CBBC).
