Career

Fleming played for Lincoln United , Gainsborough Trinity , Lincoln Claytons and in Sunday League Football for Swiss Cottage in the early 1970s before joining Lincoln City as an amateur in April 1972 . In the sportily insignificant last home game of the 1973/74 season he came under coach Graham Taylor for the first team to a use in the Fourth Division against Northampton Town (final score 1: 1). In November 1974 he moved to Grantham , for which he ran up to 1976 in addition to 18 appearances in the Southern League and in the first round matches of the FA Cup against third division side Port Vale in November 1975 (2: 2 and 1: 4 in the replay); The defender could not fight for a permanent place. After leaving Grantham, he played again for Gainsborough Trinity, then Ruston Bucyrus, Gainsborough United and again the Lincoln Claytons.

Professionally active as a controller in the mechanical engineering industry, he later also accompanied coaching positions at Lincoln United and Lincoln Moorlands.
