Nele Hertling , née Schröder (born February 23, 1934 in Berlin ) is a German theater director . She is considered the grande dame of the established German off-culture .

life and work

After studying German and theater studies at the Philosophical Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin , which she graduated in 1958, she worked freelance for radio and theater.
