Nelson Hoffmann

Nelson Hoffmann (* 1939 in Roque Gonzales , Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil ) is a Brazilian writer , former lawyer and teacher .

Hoffmann writes novels , short stories, chronicles , poems and novels. He is the author of Eu vivo só ternuras , which was translated by the Sicilian author and translator Marco Scalabrino into Italian ( Io vivo di tenerezze ). This book is about the relationship between a grandfather, as the author, and his grandson.

His last publication was the collection of essays Este Mundo é Pequeno . Other works are: A Bofetada (novella), Homem eo Bar (novel), Quando a Bola faz a História (Chronic) and Onde Está Maria (novel). Except for Eu vivo só ternuras , none of these books has yet been translated from Portuguese.
