Nelson Loyola Torriente (born August 3, 1968 ) is a retired Cuban fencer .
successes
Nelson Loyola became world champion with the team in Cape Town in 1997 . In 1989 in Denver and 1999 in Seoul , he completed the world championships in team competition, each on the bronze rank. He also won the gold medal with the sword team at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg . In 2003 he repeated this success with her in Santo Domingo , and he also secured silver with the foil team. In between, he took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , where he was eliminated in the individual competition in the first round and finished in 35th place. In the team competition he and the Cuban team, to which Carlos Pedroso and Iván Trevejo belonged next to him , after a final 45:31 win over South Korea, the third place and thus the bronze medal.
