Carlos Alberto Pedroso Curiel (born January 28, 1967 ) is a former Cuban fencer .
successes
Carlos Pedroso became world champion with the team in Cape Town in 1997 . In 1989 in Denver and in 1999 in Seoul , he completed the world championships in team competition in each case on the bronze rank, also in 1998 in La Chaux-de-Fonds in individual. At the Pan American Games he won gold in both individual and team competitions in Indianapolis in 1987 , in Mar del Plata in 1995 and in Winnipeg in 1999 . At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , he was eliminated from the individual competition in the first round and finished in 34th place. In the team competition he secured third place and the bronze medal with the Cuban team, which included Nelson Loyola and Iván Trevejo , after a final 45:31 win over South Korea .
